In this project the goal was the have a deeper learning and understanding *mastery* of classroom expressions. In the video we needed to use one lesson in the book that we have learned to demonstrate the classroom expression and content mastery. In this project, we allowed to choose groups of three people. We had a script editor (me), a video editor (Maria), a director (Hope). In this we had to write a script of thirty dialogues person that fit into a coherent plot. My group choose lesson seven in which the lessons theme was learning Chinese. In our skit we had a teacher that started class with one student while the other was late due to the fact that the homework was hard and they were watching Wang Peng. After class had started the students got backs yesterday’s test in which the late student got 1% and threw a fit from the grade. Both the teacher and the student got upset at each other leading to the yelling then the teacher telling to student to go to the office while she continued class. After we had filmed we all helped editing and each produced a video with everyone playing all the roles. In this I would have to say that I used collaboration and persistence the most. In this project, you had to have a constant collaboration with your group to make sure everyone knew what we were doing, when, where, and how. In this my group sent constant emails to each other, called, and used Facebook to make sure we were all on the same page. I also feel that I used persistence a lot. During the editing time the computer’s video quality was poor so we couldn’t use it. Maria brought in her camera to use but it would delete anything longer than thirty seconds. So we persisted and decided to record from twenty to twenty-five seconds then we edited them together but only after much frustration. This project helped me grow in making sure despite the stress and pressure I worked with my group in a way that allowed for a quality product. As well, this project allowed me to look past the flaws and problems and more towards solutions. Over all, despite the challenges I really enjoyed this projects and the freedom we had with it.
